All Atlas vehicles must be operated exclusively by an Atlas-approved and certified driver.
Certified Driver Qualifications
- To be approved as a certified driver, the individual must:
- Be a member of the Grip & Electric (G&E) department.
- Complete an in-person orientation and training session with Atlas personnel covering:
- Safe operation of the vehicle
- Proper loading and unloading procedures for the grip package
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and government-issued identification.
- Maintain a clean driving record acceptable to Atlas Lighting LLC.
- Submit to a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) review prior to approval for all first-time drivers.

Approved Driver Option
- If needed, Atlas Lighting LLC can recommend an Atlas-approved grip/driver who is already certified to operate the vehicle and equipment package.
- Any driver recommended by Atlas Lighting LLC is provided solely as an independent freelance referral for the Customer’s convenience. Such individuals are not employees, agents, or representatives of Atlas Lighting LLC, and Atlas Lighting LLC assumes no responsibility or liability for their actions, omissions, operation of the vehicle, handling of equipment, or conduct while engaged by the Customer. Customer is solely responsible for independently verifying the driver’s qualifications, insurance, and suitability for the production or rental.
